Getting started…

There were days when being a software dev was only about writing code.
There were days when an application running with no errors was all that mattered.
There were days when our reference points were books — 500 to over 1,000 pages of knowledge in print. Only the rare breed. As my C++ lecturer often described the intelligent. The awkwardly dressed. The shy lonely chaps. Always in spectacles and socially disowned, dared to peruse those pages.

Now there is the internet. Look how quick we siphon knowledge!
Now they are rockstars, the once lonely chaps.
Awkwardly dressed gets you an exclusive seat in social events.
Being a geek is a fashion statement.
Being an app developer is like a lottery. Cough! Or no?

The internet has made things easier! Do you agree?
The internet has shrunk the world — a village, as some may say. I agree!
The internet has made learning code easier and misleading! Do you agree?
Maybe the internet is an opportunity for you to read this thought piece (not an article) and befriend me?
Maybe the internet can be an opportunity for us to work together on an open-source project? Maybe?
Maybe it’s time I introduce you to Codevated?

Codevated is an open-source consulting organization that also mentors budding techies.
Are you a budding techie and would love to be mentored? Would you want to mentor?
Or do you just want an active open-source community to sharpen your skills?
Codevated could be your open-source hangout!

Ps: This was just a random piece. My blank blog has been begging for ink!
